Speak up for New England Museums

NEMA Executive Director Dan Yaeger and Membership and Advocacy Manager Meg Winikates will be leading a contingent of New Englanders to the 2017 Museums Advocacy Day, February 27-28 in Washington, DC. We'd love to include you in the event, which can be extremely rewarding and this year more than ever, extremely important. Meet new connections or greet old friends from other parts of the country, raise awareness of the issues that impact your organizations and your visitors, and support the cause of museums locally and nationwide.

Registration is free to all NEMA members; the deadline is January 18. Register online here and use the code MAD2017_NEMA.

We want to make sure every New England state is represented this year, so please consider signing up to speak up for your museum and your colleagues!

Can't make it to DC? If there are issues and concerns you would like the group to raise with Congressional leaders during visits on Capitol Hill, email Meg at meg.winikates@nemanet.org.

Also, AAM has developed some resources and tools for you to use in preparing for your trip, or for advocating from back home, in addition to NEMA's own advocacy resources here.

Hope to see you in DC!
